How to put the post earrings on:

Hold the bone earring around your lobe gently, starting the post of the earrings through both the front of the earring and the entrance of your ear piercing. Insert the bone post through your piercing and the back of the earrings, carefully twisting and wriggling the post until it finds its way through. Make the post snug, but not overly so. Please don't try to force them . The posts should be snug but not squeezed down. Take it easy on yourself and your earrings.

 BONE SOURCE:
LATIN NAME FOR WATER BUFFALO: bubalus bubalis
ORIGIN: SOUTH-EAST ASIA
PRACTICE OF HARVESTING: We use bone and horn that has been left over from food production and farming.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Recycled. The South East Asian water buffalo is a domesticated animal. It's used to plow fields and transport cargo. They are well cared for and vital to the aboriginal people's survival. They are eaten when they are too old to work and every component of the animal is used. They are never taken just for the purpose of obtaining the bones.

Care of your bone earrings:

Make an effort not to drop them. The bone does not need to be conditioned, but it should be oiled every now and again to protect it. Too much oiling will turn the color into a semi-translucent yellowish ivory tone, rather than the original bone white. As the material becomes a part of your daily life, the natural oils from your skin may permeate into it, causing this to happen. If they become too darkend for your taste, soak them in peroxide mixed with baking soda overnight, then carefully rinse and dry them.
